Grace Church is looking for an Executive Assistant to the Director of Operations with Human Resources experience.  This person will work directly for the Director of Operations but will also assist the Sr. Pastor with all administrative and clerical tasks.  All candidates must be Grace Church members to ensure they abide by the vision, mission and statement of faith of Grace Church.  Candidates need to have completed ConnectStep.

This is a fast-paced office so candidates must be able to multi-task, take direction, meet deadlines and have an eye for detail.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

Assist in developing, writing, and updating human resource policies and job descriptions
Assist in writing church policies
Maintain employee and member records
Formulate metrics and create reports using GraceLink (church management software)
Assist Communications Team with updating information on GraceLink homepage (similar to internal website)
Oversee Senior Pastor’s calendar and travel arrangements including international travel
Provide general clerical and administrative support to Senior Pastor and Director of Operations including general correspondence
Be first point of contact between the Grace Church congregation and public wanting to meet or speak with Senior Pastor and Director of Operations
Schedule all appointments for Senior Pastor and Director of Operations
Schedule, prepare agendas, and collect materials for distribution at Executive, Senior Leadership, Elders and other meetings
Attend meetings with Director of Operations to take notes and follow through with action steps
Make all travel arrangements for out of town guests visiting Grace Church
Proofread all Grace Church communications
Complete requisition forms for purchases
Assist with church-wide events (occasional evenings or Saturdays)
Occasionally cover front office/desk

Born again believer in Jesus and water baptized.
Have a life that reflects the teachings of Jesus (Matthew 5-7) and produces the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5)
Devoted to the basic disciplines of the faith – Worship, Prayer, and Tithing
Must be able to keep information confidential and use discretion
Must maintain a positive attitude

Ministry experience
Experience as Executive Assistant
Human Resources experience
Needs very little oversight
Ability to work quickly with eye for detail
Positive attitude about task oriented work
Detailed knowledge, agreement, and adherence to Grace Church policies mission, vision and core values. Member of Grace Church (spouse must also sign membership agreement)
Self – motivated and organized with the ability to work well with staff and volunteers
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills

Hours: Mon-Thurs 9-4:30
Some Weekends and evenings required
This position does not oversee other employees or teams.
